Artist funding

Money for the record, not just delivery of it

Distribution moves a finished record. It does not pay for the one you cannot afford to make. Two routes, judged on the music.

How much could you get?

There is no calculator here, because there is no formula. Funding is decided by a person who listens to the record and looks at what your catalogue earns. Tell us what you need — up to ₹5,00,000 a project — and you will get an honest answer either way.

The two routes

The Advance

We pay for the record now — studio, mixing, mastering, video — and recover it only from that project’s future royalties, at 0% interest. Your masters and ownership stay entirely yours. If the release never earns, there is nothing to chase: recoupment is tied to the record, not to you.

The Co-Production

We finance the project end to end and release it officially through Revocle under an agreed revenue share, with a minimum of 50% to you, and put our own promotion budget behind it. For artists who want a label’s weight on a record without signing their catalogue away.

What we never take

  • No ownership of your masters
  • No transfer of your rights
  • No equity in you or your company
  • No claim on catalogue outside the funded project
  • No personal liability if the record does not earn

How it works, step by step

  1. You pitch. A finished song or just the idea, through the funding application. A link we can listen to matters more than a long description.
  2. A&R reviews on merit. We look at the music first and the numbers second. Every pitch gets a real reply, yes or no.
  3. Terms go on paper. Amount, route and recoupment are agreed and signed in writing for that specific project. No funding is committed until that is done — an application is not an approval.
  4. Money moves, then the record gets made. Recoupment begins only once the release starts earning.

Eligibility

Who can apply?

+
Applications are open to artists on any Revocle plan, including the free Debut plan, and to artists currently with another distributor.

What do you look at?

+
The music, whether the rights are clean, and whether the project is realistic for the amount asked. Unclear splits or uncleared samples are the fastest route to a no.

Has Revocle funded projects already?

+
Not yet. We are pre-launch and onboarding a founding cohort, and the funding programme is open for applications now. We would rather say that plainly than imply a track record we do not have.
