Why releases get rejected, and how to avoid it

UPDATED 9 AUGUST 2026 · 3 MIN READ

Metadata rules stores actually enforce

  • Do not put "feat. X" in the track title. Use the featured-artist field.
  • Do not write your artist name in all capitals unless it is genuinely stylised that way everywhere.
  • No promotional text in titles — "Out Now", "Official Video", "Prod. by".
  • Set the language field correctly. Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil and every other language affect where you get recommended.

Artwork

Square, 3000×3000px minimum, RGB. No web addresses, no social handles, no streaming-service logos or names, and no imagery you do not have the rights to use. Blurry upscales get rejected too.

Rights

Uncleared samples, covers without a mechanical licence, and anything that impersonates another artist — including undisclosed AI-generated impersonation — will not pass. See our Content Policy.

If a release is rejected

Fix the flagged field and resubmit; you do not need to start a new release. Email support@revocle.com if the reason is not clear and we will get the specific store response. We reply within 24 hours on weekdays.
